Ancao BeachDescription
Ancao beach is a long beach of beautiful white sand and clear blue water, placed in a Natural Reserve of “Ria Formosa”. There are no buildings near the beach, only the vegetation and the pine trees. Here you breathe the nature. There is a path through the plants to get to the beach from the car parking which is near the pine trees. This is one of the coolest beaches to go in Algarve, frequented by some famous local people. If you plan to have family holidays, then you should go to this beach with wide spaces for them to play.
LocationThis beach is located in Loulé Region, near the beautiful resorts of Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Garrão, where you have some of the finest hotels like Quinta do Lago Hotel and Ria Park Hotel & SPA . You also have some of the best golf courses like San Lorenzo, Quinta do Lago North and Quinta do Lago South, Royal and Ocean courses. In Almansil, a village near the beach you have many good restaurants for a perfect evening dinner after a day in the beach.

This beach has the standard European blue flag which means that it has the standards for Environmental Education and Information, Water Quality, Environmental Management and Safety and Services.During summer period this beach has a permanent lifeguard.

Getting ThereAfter getting to Almansil by the EN125 you must turn to the EN527 to the direction of Vale do Lobo. In Vale do Lobo you must turn left in the direction on Quinta do Lago and then turn on the right.
