Golf Course Description
Salgados - Situated in one of the best-known regions of the Algarve, between Albufeira and Armação de Pêra, is already a "postcard" of Portuguese golf. In fact, the proximity of the sea and the variety of lakes make this a very interesting test of golfing skills, different from other courses in the Algarve.The original project is by the Portuguese designer Pedro de Vasconcelos, with more recent contributions from other Portuguese architects. But the final layout has been heavily influenced by Robert Muir Graves.The-6,000 metre links, replete with water obstacles, is not very long, yet you will need all your skills to reach the greens. The accuracy of the drive is crucial for achieving good scores, thus making the course a pleasant experience, especially for technically-skilled player. The eighteen holes are well-balanced, as each half of the course has two par 5 holes of around 500 metres, and three par 3 of more than 170 metres par for the course is 72. [Source - ICEP]

Beaches
This golf course is a distance of few hundred of metres from the Salgados Beach, a long white sandy beach. But, if you prefer, you have other several good beaches you can go. To the west, the Praia Grande, away from the crowd and right after the more crowded Armação de Pera beach. To the East you have the beautiful beaches of Galé, Evaristo and São Rafael along the rocky coast which form unique small places you must not miss.

From the EN125 in Guia, just follow these instructions to get to the Golf Course- Head west on Estr. EN125/N125 37 m
- At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto EM525-1/R. Gen. Humberto Delgado. Continue to follow EM525-15 50 m
- Turn right at R. das Escolas 1.4 km
- Continue straight onto Estr. EN1281 1.8 km
- Turn right toward Estr. EN526 13 m
- Take the 1st left toward Estr. EN526 160 m
- Take the 2nd right onto Estr. EN526 750 m
- Turn left at Estr. dos Salgados 450 m
