Serving Port Wine that can be tasted in any moment of a meal. As an aperitif, like the White Port Wine or the Tawny Port Wine, served fresh. During the meal you can serve the White Port Wine, Tawny Port Wine and also an LBV Port Wine.

For the desert at the end of the meal, you can have a Vintage Port Wine, an LBV, a Ruby or Tawny Reserve. After the meal you also can have an old Vintage or a 30 or 40 years Tawnies Port Wines.

Port Wine and Food Combinations

There are combinations of Port Wine and food that work better than others. Here are some of the natural combinations that you can choose when you serve port wine.

  • LBV and Vintage Port Wine with blue cheeses like Roquefort and Stilton.
  • LBV Port Wine with cured cheeses like the Portuguese Tenrricho or Ilha São Jorge (Azores)
  • The Aged Tawnies with 10 and 20 years with the deserts like Custard or Almond Tart
  • Ruby or Ruby Vintage with red fruits like Strawberries or Raspberries
