Several Ways to Get There

The capital of Portugal, as you can see in the Lisbon Map below, is located in front of Tagus river. The city has a strong connection with the river with many esplanades and marinas along the coast.

In Lisbon you can find several different neighbourhoods with specific characteristics.

The best known are the older ones like the Baixa (downtown), which is the central part of the city from the Avenida da Liberdade (Liberty Avenue) to Rossio and Praça do Comércio in front of the river, Belém where you have the Jeronimos Monastery and where you can taste the delicious Pastéis de Belém, Bairro Alto with its Nightlife and Alfama with numerous places with live music, mainly the traditional Portuguese Fado.
